Common problem solving

WARNING

Always wear the appropriate PPE during problem solving operations.

Priority points to check if the quality of detection or spraying is degraded:

  • Check that the covers protect the system from ambient light. If necessary, lower the adjustable covers.

  • Check the front-rear horizontality of the modules. If necessary, correct the horizontal position by turning the center screw of the rear three-point hitch.

  • Check the left-right level of the spraying module units. If necessary, correct the horizontality by turning the screws of the side arms of the rear three-point hitch.

  • Check the tire pressure. If necessary, adjust the pressure.

  • Check that no nozzles are clogged. Refer to the Nozzle check chapter (Nozzle check).

  • Check optics for cleanliness. If necessary, clean them.

PROBLEM

EXPLANATIONS & SOLUTIONS

The feed speed displayed on the application is different from that displayed by the tractor.

Check the impact of the speed difference on the quality of the spray.

  1. Measure the ground error, i.e. the distance between the footprint and the target.

  2. If this distance is acceptable, there is no action to be taken and the difference in speed displayed by the tablet and the tractor is normal.

  3. If this distance is not acceptable, refer to the “Spray is early/late” questions above.

INFORMATION

If the speed displayed by the tablet is lower than that of the tractor, the modules are too high. Inversely, if the speed displayed by the tablet is higher than that of the tractor, it means that the modules are too low.

  • The green light of the ON/OFF control box is off while the green button is pressed.

  • The tablet indicates that the connection with the server is interrupted.

  • The batteries are discharged.

  • The power take-off is stopped.

The battery management system (BMS) has detected that the batteries are low on charge and has shut down the system. If the battery charge is not too low, it is possible to force the system to restart. This should only be done if the PTO and alternator are functional.

  1. Check that the green button on the ON/OFF control box is pressed.

  2. Start the PTO.

  3. Press the red button on the ON/OFF control box for 1 second to send an excitation signal to the alternator to restart it.

  4. Check after a few minutes that the system is restarted:

    1. The green light of the ON/OFF control box must be on.

    2. The tablet must be connected to the machine’s Wi-Fi network.

    3. The control interface of the machine must be displayed on the tablet.

  5. If the system does not restart, contact technical support.

INFORMATION

Without an alternator, the batteries can power the system for 2 hours if the fluidic pump is off and 15 minutes if it is on.

The tablet has no Wi-Fi signal.

The system is unresponsive and must be restarted.

  1. Check that the green light on the ON/OFF control box is on and that the green button is pressed.

  2. If it is not, press the green button and wait a few minutes.

  3. If it is, press the green button to turn off the machine.

  4. Wait a few minutes until the system shuts down and the green light goes out.

  5. Restart the system by pressing the green button.

  6. If the system does not restart, contact technical support.

A red banner appears on the tablet with the message: Backend services unavailable. Click here to reload this page.

The system is temporarily unavailable.

  1. Click on the red banner 3 times in a row at 5 second intervals.

  2. Wait for 3 minutes.

  3. If the system was able to restart properly, the application interface on the tablet will return to normal and the procedure is complete.

  4. If not, perform the above steps a second time.

  5. If it doesn’t work, turn off the machine by pressing the green button.

  6. Wait until the green light goes out.

  7. Turn the machine on again.

The mixture consumption is much lower or much higher than expected.

The optics are dirty.

  • Clean the optical elements with a clean cloth and glass cleaning fluid.

INFORMATION

This applies to the LEDs and cameras of the 6 flash modules.

Do not use a pressurized spray to clean the optics.
