Cleaning after treatment

Cleaning in a leak tight area

WARNING

  • Comply with all local, state/provincial, and federal/national requirements applicable to the waste disposal of any spray liquid residues or leftover chemicals.

  • Comply with all local road laws when transporting or moving agricultural machines on public roads.

INFORMATION

  • The watertight area must be connected to an active slurry tank or treatment system.

  • Use suitable containers to collect the spray liquid residues.


Before moving to a watertight site

  1. Make sure the pump is switched off.

  1. Set the valves to Cleaning Tank System: 3. Cleaning Mixture Tank position mode.


Ideal pressure: 3 to 5 bar. Maximum pressure: 7 bar. Do not exceed 7 bar during this operation, as higher pressures will compromise the spray pattern of the rinsing nozzles and the tank may not be rinsed properly.

  1. Start the pump and run for 2 minutes.

  2. Switch the pump off.

  3. Set the valves to Spraying position mode.

  4. Start the pump and run for 1 minute.

  5. Switch the pump off.

  6. Set the valves to Cleaning Sprayer position mode.

  7. Engage the pump.

  1. On the app, activate Flushing mode and spray a crop-free area for 2 minutes.

  1. Before moving to a watertight site, follow the Checks before road transport procedure (Checks before road transport).


On a watertight site

  1. Make sure the pump is switched off.


  1. Drain the mixture tank by connecting it to the collecting system via the drain connection located under the tank.

  1. Open the drain valve and drain off any residual mixture.

  2. Close the drain valve when the mixture tank is empty.


  1. Position the valves on Cleaning Tank System: 1. Cleaning Mixer position mode.

  1. Open the L1 lever of the mixer.

  2. Start the pump and circulate 20 liters | 5.2 US gal of water.

  3. Switch the pump off.

  4. Set the valves to Cleaning Tank System: 2. Cleaning Agitation System position mode.

  5. Start the pump and rinse the agitation system with 10 liters | 2.6 US gal of water per zone.

  6. Switch the pump off.

  7. Set the valves to Cleaning Tank System: 3. Cleaning Mixture Tank position mode.

  8. Start the pump and fill the mixture tank with an additional 30 liters | 7.9 US gal of water. info Detergent can be added for cleaning the fluid circuit. Follow the manufacturer's recommended dosages.

  9. Switch the pump off.

  10. Set the valves to Spraying position mode.

  1. On the app, activate the Flushing mode and spray until the pump is de-primed.

  1. Restart at point 8 with 40 litres | 10 US gal of water and then 30 litres | 8 US gal of water.


  1. Remove and clean the suction filter and the section filter (Cleaning).

Cleaning in the field

INFORMATION

We strongly advise against cleaning the machine in the field. This procedure requires a considerable amount of time and water. It is advisable to clean the machine in a sealed area.

The machine is cleaned in 4 dilutions, with the following volumes of rinse water:

  1. Calculate residual volume:

    1. Vres = dead volume (12.5 L | 3.3 US gal) + tank bottom volume

    2. Rinse water volume 1 = Vwater_1 = Vres × 5

    3. Rinse water volume 2 = Vwater_2 = Vres × 4 (+ detergent)

    4. Rinse water volume 3 = Vwater_3 = Vres × 3

    5. Rinse water volume 4 = Vwater_4 = Vres × 3

  2. Make sure the pump is switched off.

  1. Position the valves in Cleaning Tank System: 1. Cleaning Mixer position mode.

  1. Open the L1 lever of the mixer.

  2. Start the pump.

  3. Fill the mixture tank with 10 % of Vwater_1.

  4. Turn off the pump.

  5. Set the valves to Cleaning Tank System: 2. Cleaning Agitation System position mode.

  6. Start the pump and fill the tank with 10% of Vwater_1, alternating between zone 1 and zone 2 of the agitation system.

  7. Turn off the pump.

  8. Set the valves in Cleaning Tank System: 3. Cleaning Mixture Tank position mode.

  9. Start the pump and fill the mixture tank with the remaining Vwater_1 .

  10. Turn off the pump.

  11. Set the valves in Spraying position mode.

  12. Turn on the pump.

  13. Let it run for 10 minutes.

  14. On the app, activate Flushing mode and spray the diluted product while driving at least 8 km/h over an untreated area until the pressure drops.

  15. Deactivate Flushing mode.

  16. Repeat operations 2 to 16 with Vwater_2, adding detergent.

Follow the manufacturer's recommended dosages.

  1. Repeat operations 2 to 16 with Vwater_3.

  2. Repeat operations 2 to 16 with Vwater_4.

  3. Turn off the pump.

  1. Remove and clean the suction filter and the section filter (Cleaning).
