Fluidic kit installation

To install the fluidic kit, follow the installation instructions below.

IMPORTANT

The tank installation procedure is validated by Ecorobotix and may differ from that of the manufacturer. Users are strongly advised to consult the official procedure in the manufacturer's instructions manual. Ecorobotix shall not be held liable for any failure resulting from improper installation.

Preparing the tank for installation

  1. Place the tank on a flat, stable work surface.

  2. Locate where the fittings and agitation ports will be installed.

  3. Mark the center of every hole before drilling.

  4. Inspect the tank for any damages.

IMPORTANT

Do not drill any holes until all fitting locations have been verified.

Drilling the tank openings

  1. Using the specified hole saw, drill each marked location.

  2. Keep the drill perpendicular to the tank surface.

  3. Remove all plastic shavings from both inside and outside the tank.

  4. Smooth any rough edges with a utility knife or deburring tool.

CAUTION

Plastic chips left inside the tank may damage the pump and plumbing system.

Installing the bulkhead fittings

  1. Insert the bulkhead fitting through the drilled hole from the inside of the tank whenever possible.

  2.  Make sure the rubber gasket (if used) is positioned against the inside tank wall.

  3. Install the backing washer (if used).

  4. Thread the retaining nut onto the fitting from the outside.

  5. Hand tighten first.

  6. Hold the fitting stationary while tightening the retaining nut with a wrench.

CAUTION

Do not overtighten. Excessive force may deform the tank wall or damage the gasket.

Installing the tank outlet assembly

  1. Apply thread sealant to all male pipe threads.

  2. Thread the elbow fitting into the bulkhead fitting.

  3. Position the elbow so it points toward the pump inlet.

  4. Tighten until secure while maintaining proper orientation.

  5. Install any additional nipples, reducers, or valves if needed.

  6. Verify all threaded connections are snug without overstressing the plastic fittings.

Installing the upper fill and return fittings

  1. Install the upper bulkhead fitting into the pre-drilled opening.

  2. Position the gasket correctly (if used).

  3. Tighten the retaining nut securely.

  4. Install the return elbow or hose barb fitting.

  5. Rotate the fitting so the return hose will route cleanly toward the manifold.

Assembling the pump and manifold

  1. Mount the pump onto the mounting plate using the supplied bolts.

  2. Install the control manifold onto its bracket.

  3. Install the suction filter.

  4. Connect all fittings between:

  • Pump inlet

  • Pump outlet

  • Filter

  • Manifold

  1. Apply thread sealant to all threaded fittings.

  2. Check that all control valves face outward for easy operator access.

Mounting the pump assembly

  1. Position the completed pump assembly on the sprayer frame.

  2. Align all mounting holes.

  3. Install mounting bolts, flat washers, lock washers, and nuts.

  4. Tighten hardware evenly.

  5. Confirm that the pump and plumbing have adequate clearance from the frame.

Installing the tanks onto the sprayer frame

  1. Lift the tank onto the frame.

  1. Center the tank in the mounting cradle.

  1. Verify the outlet fittings point toward the pump.

  1. Install the tank straps or hold-down brackets.

  1. Tighten mounting hardware evenly until the tank is secure.

CAUTION

Do not overtighten the straps. The tank should be secure without deforming the polyethylene.

Connecting the suction plumbing

  1. Attach the suction hose from the tank outlet to the suction filter.

  2. Connect the filter outlet to the pump inlet.

  3. Position hose clamps over each barb fitting.

  4. Tighten each clamp securely.

  5. Ensure there are no kinks or sharp bends in the suction hose.

Connecting the pressure plumbing

  1. Connect the pump discharge hose to the control manifold.

  2. Install pressure hoses from the manifold to:

  • Boom supply

  • Agitation line

  • Bypass return

  1. Secure every hose using the supplied clamps.

CAUTION

Keep hoses away from moving components and sharp edges.

Installing the agitation system

  1. Connect the agitation hose to the manifold outlet.

  2. Route the hose to the agitation fitting on the tank.

  3. Install hose clamps.

  4. Verify that the hose does not interfere with tank mounting hardware.

  5. Route hoses downward without kinks.

  6. Secure hoses to the frame using cable ties.

Securing all plumbing

  1. Route every hose along the sprayer frame.

  2. Secure hoses every 12–18 inches using clamps or zip ties.

  3. Keep hoses clear of:

  • Tires

  • PTO shafts

  • Suspension components

  • Hydraulic cylinders

  • Sharp edges

IMPORTANT

Proper hose routing increases hose life and prevents damage.

Initial testing of the system and preparing the pump

Before performing the leak tests, prepare the pump and system for operation.

  1. Fill the tank approximately one-quarter full of clean water.

  2. Open all valves.

  3. Prime the pump according to the procedure in chapter Maintenance.

  4. Start the pump and run the system at low pressure.

  5. While the pump is running, check the pump oil level.

  6. If needed, fill with oil to the minimum level indicated.

IMPORTANT

The pump oil level must be checked while the pump is running.

CAUTION

Use SAE 30 oil only.

Performing leak tests

  1. Make sure the pump is still running at low pressure.

  2. Inspect every:

  • Bulkhead fitting

  • Threaded fitting

  • Hose clamp

  • Valve

  • Pump connection

  1. If a leak is detected, stop the pump and tighten any leaking connections.

  2. Restart the system and continue testing until no leaks are present.

CAUTION

Do not tighten or adjust fittings while the pump is running or the system is pressurized.

Final inspection

Before placing the sprayer into service, verify:

  • All mounting bolts are tightened.
  • Tank straps are secure.
  • Bulkhead fittings are sealed.
  • Pump mounting bolts are tight.
  • Manifold is securely mounted.
  • Hose clamps are tightened.
  • Hoses are properly supported.
  • Plumbing is routed away from moving parts.
  • Valves operate smoothly.
  • Pump primes correctly.
  • Pump oil level is within the specified operating range.
  • No leaks are present.
  • Tank drains completely.
  • Agitation system functions correctly.

The tank system is now fully assembled and ready for operation. Perform a final water test before introducing chemicals into the system and recheck all fittings after the first hour of operation, as plastic fittings and hose clamps may require minor retightening after initial use.
